11 years ago, I uploaded my first Lego Ideas submission, a heartfelt tribute and unedited artistic response to my father’s sudden passing.
Over the last six years, my eyesight has declined significantly, but my passion for Lego building has increased in equal measure.
Playing Lego with my family has undeniably helped me endure 13 eye surgeries and the heartache that accompanies disappointing outcomes.
Engaging with regular Lego Ideas activities has kept me moving forward with a wee smile on my face. The goal of having one of my models released as an official Lego set has been an invaluable motivator and genuine dream for over a decade now.
After two Product Ideas, three Activity Entries, and 13 Challenge Entries, upload number 19 has struck gold and will actually become a real Lego set. I can’t stop crying happy tears.
