How to join Lego Primo with System

Estimated reading time: < 1 minute

Earlier this year I built a miniature prototype for my StarWars × Fabuland MOC using a 1×1 Primo brick from 1995.

This oversized brick represents the iconic Tatooine homestead dome and allowed me to experiment with different sand formations gathering around the building.

Primo was a pre-Duplo range aimed at children aged 6-to-24 months, but was discontinued in 2006.

System compatibility

Primo compatibility with other Lego elements is fairly minimal, but System elements of the same length and width can be attached to the bottom of Primo bricks (adapter pieces are also available).

For this MOC I used a blue 4×4 round plate to attach my Primo brick securely to the tan 16×16 plate.

Top tip

DOTS keys are super useful for removing the plates if they get stuck.
